Im having trouble understanding why my MSO's created on the master pages v and h do not work when released on pages in the document.
I create a h page in master. MSO works fine.
I then generate an alternate layout v. MSO works fine.
Now I have one h and one v page in my document. Everything works fine.
Then I release the Pinch and Zoom item on lower layer insert image.
Then I release the MSO and inset new text.
Then the mso doesnt work???
It appears now I have two MSO's The one that was on the master. Works. but there is now the one I release on the actual page does not and appears Static???
Cant figure out what Im doing wrong?
I did not detatch...I just override the item i want to change. This doesnt work.
Then after your message I detatch the item I want to change on the local page. This dosent work.
If I Override all items on page at same time...then change content. this works.
So I conlude that if you create a master then give birth to say ten pages...Then override just the item in say an MSO and flow in new content. You will fail.
If you create the master then give birth to 10 pages....Then Override all page items on all pages and then....Flow in new content....then it should work.
Dose this sound right?
Ok....Updating my previous conclusion....
The issue seems to be more with the buttons then the MSO items.
No need to delete the Masters after relasing all objects.
My goal was to update the text on a MSO on a local page generated from a master page.
When i overrode a MSO on a local page, flowed in new content then tested folio...the updated (or Overridden) mso appeared static...The buttons that were still applied to the master were triggering the original MSO that was on the master.
SO all was not lost...I just have to release all the buttons on all the pages and reassign them to the overridden MSO...Time consuming but at least I dont have to reflow all the content.
