Aug 9, 2012 7:44 AM

I want to collage 4 photos onto one A3 size rectangular background. How would I do that?

    1. Go to File>new>blank file. In the w & h fields, enter the dimensions of your paper stock. For printing, it is best to have the resolution in the 240-300px/in range.
    2. It is desirable to have the resolution of the blank file the same value as that of your picture files.
    3. Open your picture files, and drag each one from the photo bin into the work area.
    4. Each picture will be on its own layer
    5. Access the move tool to position the pictures and to resize with the corner handles of the bounding box.

    1. Go to the View menu, tick grid & rulers. This will help with orientation
    2. If the picture are an odd size, do the math and crop (with crop tool). Do the cropping before you drag them from the photo bin
    3. Your 4 pictures will be on separate layers. Make these 4 layers active (click on each layer  while holding the CTRL key on keyboard). Now, on the move tool's option bar, at top, click on align  to vertical or horizontal centers or the edges.
