I have downloaded Acrobat X Pro with the main purpose of trying out LiveCycle Designer. I cannot seem to find a LiveCycle Designer menu or anything that refers to LiveCycle Designer at all. In the end we want to generate PDF forms with some data pre-filled from DB. Any guidance would be great, thanks!

Are you on a Mac? It's Windows only.

Try Start > All Programs > Adobe LiveCycle ES2 > Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES2 to launch the application. (assuming you've installed on Windows)

Every time I attempt to save a form in LCD, that has a DB connection, as a PDF (static or dynamic) it hangs. It will only save as an XDP and cannot be previewed as PDF in LCD or opened by anything other than LCD. I have tried uninstalling the reader and deleting the appData designer folder and nothing works.

    Please help….What am I missing?

    Thanks

For specific questions on Designer, ask in the LiveCycle forum. Not sure what you mean by DB connection, but then I rarely so forms in LiveCycle.
