how to play multicam monitor when pressing space bar in the timeline ?

Hi there,

 

In Premiere CS5.5 or CS6, is it possible to link the multicam monitor to the timeline instead of (or in sync with) the Program monitor ?

 

In other words, when I press the space bar IN THE TIMELINE, I would like the multicam monitor to play, NOT ONLY the program monitor. But if the program monitor plays in sync too, that would be fine as well.

 

Is it possible ?

 

It drives me mad when I make roll edits in the timeline and then press play (space bar) but don't see all the cams playing at the same time.

    yip, same here.

     

    what works for me: shift+3 toggles the timeline and i made a custom shortcut for the MCmonitor, so it's at least easier to switch between the two.

    but this won't solve your "just one of them plays back" - problem.

    Yo swigglerz,

     

    Nice workaround the shortcut idea.

     

    I chose option+space as the shortcut to switch to the multicam monitor. This enables me playing the multicam monitor by hitting that shortcut and the spacebar one more time just after in one quick move.

    Better than nothing. I can live with it, but if anyone (or Adobe) has a real fix for this, it would be even better !!

    Same problem! Currently on a 6 hour multicam project and this realy annoys me. Thanks for the workaround but an option to play both would be great.
