My ver. 10 is newly installed but running slow. Screen redraws are much delayed, although the computer has 4 GB RAM and plenty of virtual memory. I was trying to redirect the scratch disk location only to find that Edit-Preferences did not lead me to the Performance tab. How can I adjust settings for better performance?
Thank you for the hint. Still isn’t running as quick on this networked computer, but I’ll have IT people take a look, once I reduced history states, increased usable memory, and tweaks here or there.

Just a word of advice: You do not want to keep your Organizer's catalog on a networked drive. The catalog is a SQLite database and does not work well out there due to issues it has with network latency. Storing the images on a networked drive is OK, but the catalog itself is accessed frequently and really needs to be on your internal drive.
