Two CS6 suites on one Mac?

Aug 8, 2012 11:40 AM

Got a wierd request, pretty sure it's not possible, but wanted to make sure.

Client is asking to install Adobe CS6 Design & Web Premium, along with Adobe CS6 Production Premium, on one Mac.

Yea, I know...trust me we've been telling them to either buy Adobe CS6 Master Collection so they have the whole enchalada, or to buy one of the suites and then we can use the ELA licenses for individual apps to deploy any separate apps they may need.

I tried to explain that (1) installing two CS6 suites is not possible...and (2) any individual apps must be packaged using ELA for those apps and not by carving any of the apps out of another suite (which would be the same issue as #1).

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Don

    Hi Don,

here are answers to your queries -

    1) it is possible to deploy 2 or more suites on same machine, using their independent packages created using AAMEE.

    2) Package should be created out of individual media. so in this case there should be 2 different packages created using 2 different suites media. Deploy these packages separtely and it should work fine.

Hope your queries are answered. please get back if you have more questions.

    thanks,

    Hi Don,

Photoshop installed from both suites is same, so it will just get repaired by second suite installer. regarding licensing of common products - their is a logic which determines which suite's license will be picked and that will depend on license status on machine.

    thanks,

    Rahul
