I have loaded PE10 onto a Windows 7, 64bit pc. The organiser works OK, but I cannot create a new project by any method. Through oraniser it does nothing, via the welcome screen it just shuts the programme. What to do?
You're trying to start a new Premiere Elements project from the Organizer?
Maybe you'd best describe the steps you're taking to create a new project.
Also, have you ensured that you installed the 64-bit version of the program to your computer and that you've got at least 4-6 gigs of RAM and a freshly defragged hard drive?
And please tell us if there is anything we need to know about your computer configuration -- like if you have a second hard drive, if it's an internal or external drive, if Premiere Elements is installed on anything other than your C drive, etc.
I installed PE10, using the correct 64bit disc, directly onto the C drive onto a nearly new HP Elitebook 2560p.
The welcome screen launches correctly, pressing the top button the organiser appears. Albums can be created and video clips imported.. Everything here seams fine. The problem starts when I try to create a new project. If I press the button on the welcome screen, the welcome screen shuts down. If I try 'file/new/...project' or go through the fix/edit videos route from the organiser - then nothing happens at all.
Thanks for your help.
