Script Error?

I am trying to reinstall Flash Player. Everytime it starts to install, an error message pops up that says "an error has occured in the script on this page" "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?" and no matter which i choose it doesn't start to install. I followed the help advice of adjusting my security settings and enabling scripts however it is still occuring.

What is your operating system, version & edition?

What is your web browser?

It's Windows XP version 2002, Media Center edition. Thanks

Download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-pr oblems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_header and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
