Cannot create new project on PE10

Aug 9, 2012 9:23 AM

I have loaded PE10 onto a Windows 7, 64bit pc. The organiser works OK, but I cannot create a new project by any method. Through oraniser it does nothing, via the welcome screen it just shuts the programme. What to do?

Moving this discussion to the Premiere Elements forum.

You're trying to start a new Premiere Elements project from the Organizer?

Maybe you'd best describe the steps you're taking to create a new project.

Also, have you ensured that you installed the 64-bit version of the program to your computer and that you've got at least 4-6 gigs of RAM and a freshly defragged hard drive?

And please tell us if there is anything we need to know about your computer configuration -- like if you have a second hard drive, if it's an internal or external drive, if Premiere Elements is installed on anything other than your C drive, etc.

Along with Steve's comments, can you Open Premiere Elements on your computer?

If not, please list your video card/chip, make/model, and also your installed driver version, number and date.

    Good luck,

    John T.,

I had not thought about the HP notebook fingerprint validation, and the problems that it has caused in the past. Thanks for refreshing my memory.
