Forgive me if this has been asked. When I create interactive buttons in InDesign 6, their display is erratic in Acrobat X. Sometimes they display correctly. Sometimes, their display is erratic and sometimes they do not display at all. I have noticed that in Acrobat X, the cursor changes to the hand over the correct area, but nothing happens when I click. Oddly enough, the buttons always display correctly in Reader. This is fine for my users but makes my job in doing the final prep very difficult.
I'm sorry to be insistent but I have more than 100 interactive books I have to maintain and this erratic display in Acrobat is a serious hindrence. It is not a problem in Reader but I need Acrobat to do final file prep before publishing to my users. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.
Just as a general FYI. I also pursued this topic in the Acrobat forum and learned that this is apparently a bug, possibly known. Have posted a bug report just to make sure Adobe is aware of the situation. Oddly enough, the buttons always show in the Thumbnails pane and, sometimes, if I work with the file in Acrobat for a bit, the buttons suddenly appear on the page as expected. But, close and reopen the file, and the erratic behavior recurrs. A bit of quantum weirdness as I like to call it.
