Metadata status in smart collections

Have setup smart collection in LR4.1 to show all images that need to be saved to disk - "Metadata status is not up to date"

 

After saving all of the images sometimes certain images will always come back as though they were not updated.  Example I have saved one image 6 times to disk from this smart copllection but each time after a few seconds it comes back again as though it needs to be saved again.

 

Have tried to change some develop items to force a real change but this does not fix problem either.  Any thoughts?

 

Using Mac 16gb Ram, Snow leopard.

    Dan, more info please on file type.

    Also would the "problem" files happen to be in a folder where the permissions are not to write??

    Thanks Geoff - file types are DNG, all I have are DNG and TIF.  Permissions ok since other images in same folder are updated and tracked as such with no problem.

    Thanks Dan - just long shots!!

    Try reconverting the DNG's in Lightroom.

    Damn - didn't think of that.  DUH!!!!

     

    Soon as I ran conversion it disappeared from smart collection.  BTW, all files converted to DNG in LR, not outside.

     

    Hopefully this does it

    Brilliant!! Did you use the new Fast Load option, I find that it seems to work well.

    Yes I did, but have not noticed yet, just converted first batch using it.  Only convert to DNG after done with files.
