Elements 10 Freeze

Just downloaded a copy of Elements 10. It locks up when I try to use iphoto to open a photo in it. Why?

    Perhaps you also need updates for your device you are trying to connect to.  See this thread how to get updates:

    Make sure you are linking to the application which is normally in support folders.

    Have you set up PSE10 as the external editing app in iPhoto preferences - see link below.

     

    N.B on OSX Lion you will need to temporarily reveal hidden folders. If you are using the App Store version of PSE10 or have upgraded to Mountain Lion the problem could be Apple related.

    Use Go To Folder to reveal hidden system folders

     

     

    The Go To Folder command, in the Finder's Go menu (also accessible by pressing Shift+Command+G), can be used for accessing your Library folder. Simply type ~/Library and click Go to view the folder in the current Finder window.
