I have the latest version of flash player on a macbook with mountain lion. i have garbled, green video playback, and after searching the web for about an hour it looks like it has something to do with hardware acceleration being turned on. when I right clicked on flash videos as well as the flash logo for some howto pages dealing with this bug, a dialogue pops up, but that dialogue is useless because it is totally unresponsive to clicks. Therefore, I can't change anything, including unchecking hardware acceleration.
How do I disable hardware acceleration given that this dialogue is totally unresponsive to mouse clicks, and when I try to use tab and space or enter to uncheck the checkbox for hardware acceleration, the checkbox stays selected? Better yet, how do I make it so that flash videos actually work?
Is this a Macbook with a retina display? If so, please install our beta 2 release on labs and make sure to select the "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)" option at the end of the installer. Give it a few hours and you should get an automatic update that will hopefully fix the issue of the hardware acceleration dialog being unclickable. I'd also like to know if this addresses the green screen issue you are getting.
Thanks,
Chris
