is subversion supposed to keep a copy of all files in a site?

I purchased a subversion hosting plan and set it up with no errors in a dreamweaver site.

 

I thought it was supposed to keep a copy of all files... and also files that are changed? I thought that was the point? To be able to go back to an old file if I wanted to?

 

I checked the portal of the subversion host and no files are in there. I have 0 usage.

 

Any advise? Dreamweaver 6

    Subversion doesn't automatically keep copies of the files. You need to commit them to the repository.
