I'm trying to set the scale of my picture in CS6 but everytime I got to analysis -- set measurement scale I can't select it! I need it to make scale bars on my fluorescent pics so I can finish my thesis. I have CS6 (64x) from creative suite 6 design standard that I got from my school. The picture is .tiff file 24 bit. If anyone can help I would appreciate it! ![]()
Do you have photoshop cs6 extended or standard?
Help>About Photoshop would say extended or the standard version would not say extended.
As far as i know the analysis functions are only available in the extended version even though the menu items might be there in the standard version
which i believe is the version Design Standard ships with.
Well if you got student pricing i would look at the other creative suites or creative cloud.
This is just a version comparision and imagine student pricing is much cheaper:

Not that it helps you in the short term, but it's a life lesson: Strive to know what you're buying before you buy it. Find out what the options are and understand the differences between base and high-end models.
I don't know whether you can upgrade what you bought to something that includes Photoshop CS6 Extended, but it's probably worth asking an Adobe sales person for the details.

Hi Noel,
Yes, I know. Rather silly of me. Before I bought this package, I tested the automation and contact sheet tools. I thought that the measurement and count tools were basic enough to be included in a the non-extended version. I've writen to the Adobe team... perhaps there is a way.
