disable add ins such as nik and topaz

Is there any "easy" to disable the Nik, Topaz, etc., add ins? short of uninstalling them can one start  Lightroom 4.1 program with a key or key combo that will disable these add ins?

    There isn't a shortcut to disable plug-ins at launch like there is for Photoshop. Instead, you will want to go to File > Plug-in Manager. There you can select and disable your plug-ins.

    thanks, Brett.

     

    Sorry so late responding. i knew about the plug ins manager. however, i was actually referring to th NIK and TOPAZ add ins, which i am finding less and less useful. I am not ready to just uninstall them, yet.

    Just don't use them. They don't do anything unless you want them to! They are used as external editors I believe.

    yes. thank you, gerry. my thoughts are that i do use them only rarely and by getting rid of them i may see a bit more efficiency in LR's operation.

    Vince,

     

    Gerry is right. They have zero impact on LR's responsiveness if you don't use them. And if you do use them, you won't be using LR while you do, so they aren't going to hurt you. Really.
