Photoshop elements/Lightroom differences

Can Lightroom do everything Photoshop elements does -- but more conveniently and easily, without as steep a learning curve?

    You should look at them as being complementary to each other. Lightroom supports a much wider range of raw file edits than Elements, but lacks many of the more artistic features (layers, filters, etc) of the later.
