Filename where site info is saved

I am re-installing Dreamweaver CS5 on a new computer. My old computer crashed and Windows will not run BUT I do have access to the hard drive and all my data files. I would like to bring over the 'site' file from my old Dreamweaver installation to the new one instead of having to re-create all my site information (over 50 clients). The folder structure on the new computer is the same as the old ... can I just copy a file (or two) over and have the new Dreamweaver installation recognize all the site data? If so, what are the filename(s) and where are they located?

On Windows, Dreamweaver site definitions are stored in the Windows Registry. It's unlikely that you'll be able to extract data from the Registry if Windows won't run. That's why you should always export site definitions from Dreamweaver on a regular basis. See Backing up and restoring site defintions.

Aha ... thanks for the information about the site definitions being stored in the Windows Registry. You are right ... doing a site definitions export is the safest way to retain what I have built in case of a system crash. I DID actually find where I had done an export a while ago (mytaxsite.co.uk posted some good information that helped me locate the ste files on my hard drive) and so I don't have too many to re-create.
