flash downloading

please someone help me, i have been trying to download flash i am getting either an error message or it wont install or that it is already on my computer, i have deleted it through the control panel,  I am extremely frustrated adobe help would not help me becasue it is a free download, i have search my computer for anything to do with flash and deleted all the attemps still it says i have it on my computer

If that does not help, please provide your operating system and browser info.

i tried that no luck, i now have flash on my computer but it still wont operate the games asking for the latest version so i back where i started

i click on the first link then on http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ it comes up with a box to install program if i click install it freezes and i have to shut down my computer
