Unwanted moving of text and images

I'm having text flow problems. I have a document that has a sidebar with text and images. I now am placing the main body text and, if on the right facing page I add more than one column of text, the sidebars (which are on their own layer and locked) all move to another page. Any suggestions to stop this from happening? I'm using cs4.

The first thing that pops into my mind is that you are using Smart Text Reflow and it is adding pages.

Some screen shots would help to visualize things, though. You can embed an image in a post usiung the camera icon on the web page like this:

When you turn it off, you will no longer be adding pages, so there's a chance the sidebars will end up in front of or behind other text on the page after you autoflow the main story.

    Hi Cana,

It should be in the Preferences, in the Type section, at the bottom of the pane. Hope this helps!

    Cheers!
