Polar grid tool modifications not responding to arrow keys

Illustrator CS4: My arrow keys do not function with the polar grid tool. I cannot increase/decrease the number of rays or circles using my arrow keys. They are just dead in the water.

Does the cursor key command work with for example the star or polygon tool?

If you have a Wacom disconnect ti temporarily.

Yes! That’s what I was doing wrong: I needed to continue holding the mouse down on the polar grid shape while adjusting with the arrow keys. Thanks, Mike!
