Downloading Flashplayer

I am trying to download Adobe Flashplayer. Once I have selected 'Run' to install the program, I am supposed to get a user account control dialogue box to complete the process. I never get this box. I have tried multiple times. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks!

I have a Windows computer with Vista.

Try the offline installer(s) from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.ht...

You can also download Flash Player 11.3 for Internet Explorer from here :

http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_active_...

Note : Save the installer, close Internet Explorer and then run it.
