how to pause full screen mode

It's been asked before with no answer except to hold onto a mouse button (which is not what I want). All seem to agree that spacebar or ctl+spacebar doesn't work.So is there an answer?

Using Adobe Reader X.

    I know how to put Adobe Reader into full screen mode, but how, why, what for do you want to pause it?  As long as you don't touch anything, it won't move.  Or is it a slide show?  Please explain.

    Yes it is a series of photographs eg. a slideshow.

    The navigation menu only shows fwd and back arrows and return to menu. No pause.

    Hi Again Pat.

    I guess then you don't know either.

    Any suggestions on who to ask (nothing on Reader Support that I could find).?

    If you turn off the preference to advance every so many seconds, you can manually advance your file as needed. But there is no pause when the page turns every so many seconds.
