Startup scripts error

HI All,

 

On running InDesign CS5 I am getting followings startupscript error messages,  I could not understand why I am getting these error messages

    Hi Peter,

    Deleting InDesign preferences or reinstalling might fix the issue but what is the reason of getting such startup scripts error.

    As reinstalling or deleting indesign preferences takes time and is not good for customers

    Are you using the scripts? I don't think the scripts generating the errors are part of the install (Flash-11.jsx and ConnectInstancesToETSK.jsx). Have you tried removing them?

    I have absolutely no idea why that script should be throwing an error in ID, since it is in the Flash folder. I have it on my system, but never have seen any warnings or any sign that it was called, but perhaps it has to do with the export to Flash capabilities.  My presumption here is that the ID insatalltion is somehow damaged.

     

    Just looked at the script itself, and though I don't really understand all of it, I think it may be required for Mini-Bridge....

    Hi Peter,

     

    Do you have any idea why I am getting following errors

     

    Java Script error!

    Error Number: 45

    Error String: Object is invalid

    None at all, I'm afraid, but I continue to think ID has been corrupted in some way or the install was not completely successful. Did it ever run without those errors?

    ESTK is a reference to ExtendScript Toolkit and it looks like the script is looking for InDesign Server and can't find it. Ask over in the Scripting forum.
