InDesign freezing

Help! My file is due at the printer's today and I can't figure out what the issue is or even how to fix it.

InDesign CS 5 file freezes when I click on File>Print. It starts sending the file but then stops progressing part way through and just freezes.

At that point, it won't even quit when I try to "force quit" the program...

I'm not sure if it's a problem with the file or with InDesign. What should I try next? Reinstalling the program?

Thanks!

Most likely a problem in the file. Start with Remove minor corruption by exporting

If that doesn't help, make a copy of the file for backup, the try printing half the file at a time. If one half fails, try printing half of that half, and so forth, until you isolate a page tha has a problem.

On the probelm page, repeat the divide and conquer testing by removing half the objects on the page until you are able to isolate a specific object.

    peter knows.

also you can watch the progress bar to see the page number when iD freezes, and watch that page for eps files or links. (most of times are links)

what if you try to make a PDF? same freezing?
