Direct X plugs come up as "unsupported"

Hey everyone-

 

For some reason, my Sony direct x plugins are showing up as unsupported on my work computer, but at home, they shows up fine. I'm running AA 1.5, and I've refreshed the fx list multiple times. I even tried recreating the preferences folder, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

    Don't know absolutely, but...

     

    If you are running a W7 machine at work, you will almost certainly have run into permissions problems with DX. Apparently the thing you are supposed to do with most of them is to log in as administrator, right-click on the installer and select the 'run as administrator' option. If you don't do this the permissions don't get registered properly. If you ever see a message saying "Failed to set data for Name", this is what's caused it.

    That was exactly what it was. As soon as I had the engineers here at the station give me admin rights, I re-installed the plugs, and deleted the adobe direct x plugin registry entries. Then I did the fresh re-enable/re-scan, and there they were!
