hi all
curious if there's any way to keep guides vertical / horizontal when using the rotate view feature?
thanks for your tips!

It is non-destructive,and I know image rotation is destructive because the pixels must be re-written. My question would be "how destructive?" Make a duplicate of your image, try rotating using the crop tool, and see if there is visible damage. If not...rotating the image and keeping the guides in place may just work out.
Ok,then if that is the case, then using the Free transform command or the Crop tool would rotate the image (I guess positioning the image makes it easier to edit or paint) and keep the guidlines in place since "Rotate View" naturally will not. That's what I was thinking, but I did want to be sure there wasn't some downside to that idea.
Thanks for clearing it up.
