Setting a Drop Shadow to Overprint

Aug 14, 2012 1:20 PM

Rather than drop shadows knock fuzzy holes in underlying separations, is there a way to set a Drop Shadoo to always overprint?

Illustrator Drop Shadows are set to multiply by default.

If you are talking about drop shadows from Photoshop placed images, you need to make 2 photoshop files to achieve this.

    1. Photoshop file without drop shadow on top
    2. Photoshop file with drop shadow set to multiply in Illustrator underneath the other image

To get the images to register, you just need to copy 1 oplace image and paste in front, then use the links panel to relink to the other image.
