I have been having clipboard issues with Adobe Illustrator CS6 (creative cloud). I am running CS6, 64 bit - windows 7 on a machine that is only a few months old.
When I attempt to copy and paste text in my document to another artboard or just create a copy of some of my elements on the page Illustrator is not maintining my formatting or pasting my copied objects. For example, images to illustrate my point are below.
In this image I have text copied that I am attempting to duplicate. The text is Proxima Nova, 18pt, semibold.
This is the result of my paste:
As you can see my font is not retained. It pastes below this text as Myriad Pro, 12pt, regular. This happens for all text I attempt to copy+paste in my document.
Pasting multiple objects:
If I select, copy, and paste multiple objects (in this case a rectangle, my formatted text, and a placed EPS file, only the text that I copied pastes in my artboard. The EPS, and my rectangle are both lost and my text pastes in unformatted as Myriad Pro, 12pt, regular.
However, if I outline my text and select my elements and copy+paste, they all paste in.
Obviously, this isn't feasible every time I am working with text as I cannot make changes to the text after I have outlined it.
Any suggestions you can give for a solution would be great. This is seriously hindering my workflow and has been an ongoing issue that I can't seem to find any solution to. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Illustrator CS6 (after removing my preferences). I have deleted my AIPrefs file and restarted Illustrator. I have Google forums and called tech support and they don't seem to understand my issue nor am I finding any topics related to clipboard handling errors in the program itself.
I had strange problems with Proxima Nova some time ago. Could this font have a tech issue.
