Renditions and Single-Folio (or SingleEdition)

Hi,

 

There's something still not 100% clear to me about Folio Renditions for both iPads (new and "old").

 

If you run Single-Folio professional Viewer Builder, is there no chance to upload several renditions of the same folio then? Does it only work for multi-folio Apps?

    Yes, renditions work only for multi-folio viewers.

    Bob,

     

    I have a client who wants a single edition folio to be available for the three iPads and iPhone. Just to make it clear for me, I'll have to create (buy):

     

    • One App for iPad 3;
    • One App for iPads 1 and 2; and
    • One App for iPhone/iPod Touch?

    Single-issue folios are not supported on the iPhone. At this time, the best approach for single-issue iPad viewers is to create a single 1024x768 folio in PDF image format. This folio works well in many cases on the iPad 3, but in some instances, text is noticeably pixelated. In an upcoming release, the plan is to create a dual-definition PDF folio that looks great on all iPads.
