So, since upgrading CS6 occassionally comes up with a blank 'Files' window. I can open and close other windows from the 'Windows' menu but the 'File' entry just keeps bringing up a blank file menu. (FYI I'm on a Mac, latest OS).
It's weird as I can get it to show files (local and server) after I play around but for the life of me it seems to be random. And I keep just trying things until it starts to work.
There's probably an obvious answer but I'm stumped. Any idea why the 'Files' window would appear blank (entirely blank, no buttons, no nothing just one big grey box with the window title 'Files' at the top.
Such a simple thing, there must be an obvious solution.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Todd
Hi Ken,
Yes, I've got numerous sites I work on and are 'defined' in Dreamweaver. I was able to get back the File window (this time) by switching the workspace view back and forth. I'll continue to do that to solve the problem but seems to me theirs some sort of glitch in rendering that window when it first appears upon opening the program.
Todd
Not sure why this should happen but it looks like some corruption in the system. You could try clearing the preferences on your system to see if it corrects itself. To clear the preferences, read this document:
<http://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/restore-preferences-dreamweaver- cs4-cs5.html#main_RestoreMac>
Good luck and post back with the result.
