Can't have text to speech with interaction widget on the slide

Hi there

 

I am loving the new interactions widget in Captivate 6 but am I right in saying that I can't have text to speech on the same slide?  Or am I doing something wrong?

 

I know I can have it on the same slide but not when the widget is visible on screen, if that makes sense?

    Hello,

     

    Welcome to Adobe Forums.

     

    When you have the Interaction Widget on your screen (While viewing Captivate 6 Published output), there is a pause to interact with the Widget.

     

    Once you move further in that slide (Resuming the pause), you will hear the Text to Speech Audio.

    I thought that was the case, in this instance I would have liked the Text to Speech to explain the widget, oh well.

    Julie,

     

    Just to warn you: all audio will be stopped, even background audio. I logged a request about it, would be great if you did the same because this is very annoying.

    Crossing my fingers that this will be done soon. Or if at least we could schedule the pausing point of the Interaction.

    Hi Lilybiri

     

    Can I ask a question please?  I have exported text to speech and imported it again as audio for the widget which works fine.  However, is there anyway to get the audio to start automatically without having to click the play button?

    I don't love this as a resolution, but  I've delayed the appearance of the widget until my narration has completed.  I made a picture of the widget interface to fill the screen during the narration.  When that is complete, the picture disappears and is replaced by the actual widget.  It's the only idea I could come up with that suits my needs for now.

    lol yeah i've done that too but just the way it disappears and fades back in annoys me lol.
