In Flash CS5 when I imported PNG files, it automatically created a suite of Symbols to match the PNG files - a great time-saver, but I've now installed CS6 and it no longer does it! Yikes, this feature saved me loads of time.
Can it be turned on or off by user selection?
Please, if you know how to turn it on, let me know
Thanks
John
I will try and verify if this as designed, however, (as my already know) you could select multiple PNG files and convert them to symbols. In the meanwhile, you could log a bug against Flash Authoring at https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&promoid=E WQQL.

Hi
Thanks for this. I'm intrigued, how do I create multiple symbols from multiple PNGs - other than creating them one at a time - sorry to be so dim. I've been using Flash for some time now and have never come across this feature. Can you spell out the steps for me please.
I've got 130 PNG files in my Library, what next...
I'm very excited to know that there may be a workaround for my problem. Most of my projects involve me working with about 4500 PNGs at a time, so you'll understand how keen I am for a workaround/solution.
Many thanks
John :-)
Unfortunately all this will do is create a single symbol combining all the PNGs into that one symbol. What I require is the automated creation of a separate symbol for each PNG.
I find it odd that Adobe would design this feature out, or at least not offer a switch to turn it on or off - I can understand that it wouldn't be desired by all, but it's essential for me.
Any more thoughts anyone?
