I have a short quiz created in Captivate 5.5 to track completion in the Plateau / Success Factors LMS 5.8. I am using AICC reporting method. SCORM is not an option. No matter what options I choose, the LMS will not mark complete. It seems like the captivate quiz is not initializing the LMS. It stays on the "Loading" message longer than usual, but eventually plays.
Here are the settings:
I've looked all over the web for a solution and can't find one. I've tried the fixes for Captivate 5.0 and they don't work.
Can anyone help?
Thanks!
The first thing to verify is if indeed the lesson can talk to the LMS at all. If indeed the lesson is not initializing the LMS (not finding the API), that could certainly be a cause of the problem!
So, when the lesson launches, then you close it, is there ANY reflection in the LMS that occurrred? Is a status perhaps changed from 'not started' to 'in progress' (or any change along those lines)? If not marked completed, is a score reported?
You've tried the 'fixes', like this?
Can Plateau offer any help? Any debug tools/pages/methods on their LMS that you/they can review to see if indeed the lesson is having problems initializing the API?
How about Rod's guide here:

It's on SCORM, but the other settings may be applicable to check...
I don't have any tools to verify if the course is talking with the LMS. However, when the course loads, the "loading" animation spins longer than usual.
The LMS automatically changes the status to "in progress" one the course is launched.
I have tried every "hotfix" for Captivate 5.0 and they don't work... some of the default.htm and .dll files screw up the course to where all you see is a gray screen.
Plateau does not have any information on the issue.
And, Rod's guide "works" because it is set to "complete on launch". ![]()
Nothing has worked. I have been researching this issue for days now and I'm quite frustrated. I see a lot of other people are having the same issue and no one has posted a fix. ![]()
Thanks!
Yay... I found my own answer. ![]()
I don't know why Adobe makes this so difficult to find!
Here is the link for anyone else who is looking for the answer. Make sure you download the .dll file that matches your Captivate version (i.e. 5.0 only works for 5.0 and 5.5 only works for 5.5)
