Hello all,
I'm struggling to understand how, precisely, to control the styling choices presented to my client in the WYSIWYG. I'd like to limit the styles to a small handful and to specify some basic h1-h6 tags. After fiddling around in partner portal, these options do not seem to show up under the "Description" WYSIWYG in Web apps.
Any tips are appreciated.
Thank you!
Brian
Hi Brain,
So you have done the following?
- Created your css styles that you wish to use in your css. These need to be .something {} with nothing else, no extra css values and no element in front?
- You have gone into the partner portal - tools - online editor settings - chosen the site.
- you gone to th editor apply CSS tab and entered the css .something as an option for the dropdown.
Yes, the example I gave was for the first part, It's an example. as I mentioned you can't say div.somwthing because the editor won't pick it up, and too with the examples.
If you have added them etc they do show up in the drop, it's currently working for me. Ensure those steps are done, try logging out and clearing cookies and cache for the site and log back in.
One more thing - if you define a bunch of selectors in the PP but the current page does not contain any elements to match those selectors they will not be shown in the WYSIWYG editor list. For example, as Liam said, if you define in PP .something but the current page does not have any elements with that class assigned, ".something" will not appear in the WYSIWYG drop down.
To the contrary, at least for my account:
We have confirmed it is an issue, and have created a ticket with our development team to investigate and resolve this.
The ticket number is 3324822 for your reference.
Whilst I don’t have a firm date for this to be corrected, I have added your case number to the development ticket and you can check
if it was fixed on our blog - http://businesscatalyst.com/_blog/BC_Blog/ after every release.
