I have created a DPS account, but i can't sign in when in InDesign from my Mac.
I am working in InDesign CS5.5 on a Mac with OS 10.7.4. Point is, i created the account, got an confirmation email and clicked the link. On a windows PC i then can get into the Portfolio organizer and get a welcome screen. When i click that same link on my Mac, i just get a grey screen. I can't get beyong the https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/app.html adres. It stops there.
And when i fill in my emailadres and password in InDesign Folio Builder it says that it didn't work in red letters.
What happens on your Mac when you access https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com in a browser?

I first then get the welcome screen, i push on the 'Get Started' button. Then on next screen i fill in emailadres and password and after i submit, it is stuck on this URL : https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/app.html and the screen is total grey. Nothing to see or click on it. On my Mac. If i do this on my windows PC, it works. But the point is....i work on a Mac.
Do you have a proxy or anything running on the Mac? It would make sense if both Windows and Mac were broken, but the fact that it's failing in both your browser and InDesign panel makes me think it's machine-specific.
Check out the network and security settings, I don't have another suggestion.

Dear James,
Thanx for your answer. I don't have any proxy's running and all other
logins go perfectly. Also....i just can't get into the adobe
digitalpublishing website....i even updated to the latest versio nof
flash.
Anyway...thanx for your help. I will ask my ICT department to have a
loot at it.

It looks like that your System sits behind a corporate firewall, I'll PM you the ports that you have to ask your Network team to open for using DPS.
If you are trying this on Chrome, try it on Safari and check as well.
Also can you tell me the exact message that Indesign throws when you try to login?
Thanx for your reply. Well..i am Dutch and my InDesign is also in Dutch. This is the comment i get when i try to login Folio Builder in InDesign: Aanmelden mislukt. Probeer het opnieuw. (in English: Signing in failed. Please try again).
And i can't go to the https://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/app.html because that URL shows me a total dark grey screen without any button or text on the Mac. On windows i can acces that website without any problems. I received your PM (thanx) and will forward that to our ICT dep.
Btw...would you recommend me using chrome over safari ?
Thanx again,
Rogier
Use any browser that suits you, Chrome has inbuilt Flash , while Safari uses external flash plugin. I wanted to check if the issue is specifc to a browser (which maybe related to flash).
Most probably this may be related to the ports, also try the following steps in your Indesign :
Note:
For example:
/Users/"your user name"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager/preference/csxs2.pref
/Users/"your user name"/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5.5ServiceManager/preference/csxs2.pref
Hi Himanshu,
Sorry....i have one final question because we as a company are just staring with this publishing to iPad etc. But is it true that creating content like a magazine about some of our products for the iPad only works through this DPS portal ? I just would like to save a .folio file on my desktop and then try it in an iPad or in the Adobe viewer.
