A web link in a PDF was updated with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro. The new URL is longer than the original. As a result, the updated web link has an underscore that is too long. I've tried shortening the underscore with the Link Tool as well as with the Touchup Text Tool, but neither worked.
I'd appreciate any suggestions on this.
Did you try to save as, close, and reopen to possibly clear any latency that is there? Was the web link an actual hard link or a soft link created by Acrobat because it saw something that looked like a link. I did not think that a line was typically used with links in Acrobat, but have not checked recently. If that is the case, you might try the object select tool and select the line and delete it.
I should add that the underscore that is too long is stationary on the PDF. In other words, if the the web link is moved, the underscore remains in its original position on the PDF. I haven't found a means of deleting the underscore without deleting the entire block of text (paragraph) the web link is contained in.
I'm open to any further suggestions.
