I know that splash pages are a bad idea- I have read countless articles and forums discussing the fact. However, I need to know how to create a basic splash page (unless there is another way to accomplish what my boss wants).
The "splash page" will have a black background with a quote. This will then fade out and our home page will appear. I don't want a 'Click here to enter' button or anything. Also, if there is a way to get this effect in my index page, would that eliminate the search engine issue? Since I will not need a redirect button, is there a way to do this without all of the drama of a splash page?
