I succesfully downloaded Adobe Reader X (and it apparently removed prior version Reader 9). However, I still have Adobe Reader 5.0 and Distiller 5.0 on my computer. Why would these stilll be installed?
Distiller is used to create PDF's and not a part of Reader so, it won't be removed by newer versions of Reader.
Acrobat Reader 5 may be so old that the new uninstaller doesn't even want to deal with it. There's not to many systems out there that can run both 5 and X.
If you want, you can uninstall Reader 5 but be prepared to reinstall X if something breaks. Or, you could just leave it be unless you have an actual issue with both being on your machine.
