RAW support for X-Pro1

Please keep on improving RAW processing for FujiFilm X-Pro1! That camera and its lenses deserve a top notch LR4 workflow and right now us happy X-Pro1 owners dearly miss the processing quality we enjoy with RAW files from our 'other' DSLRs...

    +1.

I am looking seriously at this camera but can't do it 'til I know that I can process the RAW files in Lightroom.

Yes please I just got a Fuji X-Pro1 and the files are terrible in Lightroom, I love LR for all the other cameras I had before but now the RAF files of the X-Pro1 look like waterpaintings !

It would be good if Adobe communicated the liklihood of an update to the XTrans support in LR.

The current version is severely lacking and Capture One has stolen the lead among mainstream converters.

Adobe usually doesn’t communicate such things, and would be aware of what Capture One does.    As far as being in the lead, that would depend on whether someone has an XTrans camera or not.

    Indeed.

And you'll pay more than twice the price of Lr for Cap One 7 Pro (and its many bugs), too.

And the corollary of those posts is that Lr is better; despite its inabilty to handle the impressive output from an outstanding camera system. So put up with it. Ha.

I am pretty sure that Adobe is even more concerned with their inability to produce profiles/processing technics necessary to produce matching or superior results for your cameras raw files.

Fact is Fuji has produced a camera with new sensor structure/technology that is different to what has been the norm in the market. Their camera firmware / processing software that they have provided you with is achieving results that meet your needs.

This technology is in a very rapid stage of development and what you are seeing is the competitive nature of the manafacturer and a third party software developer. Fuji are probably proud of their achievement but are probably trying to protect against the entire market becoming aware of their processes.

I am sure all the manafacturers, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Panasonic, Sony are doing the same, while trying to balance providing info to the third party software developers so that users of their preferred software are happy.

It means people with an XTrans camera probably shouldn’t be using LR for their processing until Adobe figures out how to do things with as good a quality as all the other non-new-sensor-photosite-pattern cameras.

Yes, please fix Lightroom for the X-Trans RAW support. It's a shame...
