Camera Raw 6.7 crashes

I'm using CS 5.5 with Camera Raw 6.7 on Windows XP.  Suddenly, I'm having challenges with images opened and edited in Camera Raw 6.7, with either trying to save directly to disk or opening in Photoshop.  I am getting "out of memory" errors.  I've purged the caches, etc., but to no avail.

    How much free space do you have on your hard drive?  Should have 10-20% free for good operation.

    Plenty of free space -- I think the problem is Camera Raw 6.7 and processing Canon 5d Mark III images -- it doesn't happen with my older Canon cameras.

    If it worked before maybe you need to reset preferences.  In PS click on icon to start and immediately hold down ctrl + alt + shif keys.  Should get a reset window.  If you see splash screen you are too late.

    It asks if I want to delete the Photoshop settings file -- will this mess up my add-on and plug-ins?

    No, just personal settings like your workspace prefenreces.
