Stereoscopic 2K workflow

Aug 9, 2012 4:07 PM

Hi,

I'm working on a s3D Documentary with Cineform 2K muxing rushes and Premiere Pro 6.  Window 7 64 bits, 16 cores, 32 GB of Ram, Quadro 5000 graphic card, Nvidia Flip page 3D for monitoring on Acer H5360 3D Nvidia compatible projector.  How may I have realtime playback?

You need a FAST storage system to be able to read the video files appropiately.  RAID 0, local to the computer.

Quite a step back, only SATA II and requires an older raid controller. No support for SATA III.

Is the playback completely fluid on 5.5 or still dropping frames?

Well the raid 0 will tell if it's the Cineform Player still having performance issues or the storage. Last I had checked the Cineform player had considerable trouble handling playback realtime above 1920x1080. I am wondering if that is still the case with the version you have. Can you setup a raid 0 and see how the playback is?

When you have the chance please try a Cineform 1080P Preset and see how the playback is there.
