I use "process multiple files" to convert a bunch of raw files to high res jpegs. Today it stopped working on version 9...and same issue on version 10.
It opens and converts but then the "save as" dialog comes up...and can only save in psd format.
I have used this for years and years and today it just stopped.
Anyone have any idea how to put back? don't know if it is a Win7 update issue?
very bizzare.
Your help and advice is appreciated.
Bloody Hell, you are a genius...it never seems to amaze me that such a little thing..stuffs up the WHOLE workflow!! I was editing some work in RAW and must have changed it for some stupid reason.
So much for 12 hours trying to fix!!
I have been using Photoshop for at least 2004...and never missed a beat till now.
Now...they say things happen in 3's..I am not going out tonight.
THANK YOU very much R_Kelly

Having similar but different problem. Saved the raw images to a folder & it appears to have converted to something else. Now trying to do multiple process to JPEG but file has an extension of NEF - stating wrong type of file. Any tips on how to process these to JPEG & open. Thxs!
If you have used the 'Save' button in the ACR dialog, your files should have been converted to the Adobe proprietary raw format : DNG.
Are those 'saved' photos with a .DNG suffix ?
When you look at the file it has the PSE icon - with suffix NEF and the whole numeric read as such: .DSC_06676.NEF
I initially saved straight into a folder on my computer. Then it prompted me to open with---Windows Live photo gallery (which did not work) of course - then realizing I needed to convert it first. I then tried to do multiple file processing through PSE. Did not work & since I get message of "saved in the wrong file type". Not sure what to do from here. Any other ideas?
