Create antique map watercolor effect?

Hi: I am creating a canoeing map for my daughters. I want to change the map from this...

into something that looks more like this...

Specifically, is there a Live Paint Bucket effect that can mimic the blue watercolor border in the antique map?

    1 Effect>Stylize>Inner Glow (there are two stylized items in the Effcts Menu the one in the top section is what you want.

    2 From The Effects>Effects Gallery select Dry Brush apply it once and then apply it one more time

    If you have closed paths, you may apply Object>Path>Offset Path a couple of times and give each generation a different fill or stroke. Use a negative offset for the main lakeshore, positive for the islands.

    And adding a slight "Roughen" effect to the inside strokes would strengthen the watercolor look.
