ctrl+alt+shift+rightclick, how do I get it back?

How do I get back the ability to ctrl+alt+shift+rightclick to select multiple layers that was present up to CS4? Now it just wants to select a color or change the brush size which is useless. Is it a different shortcut now? I dont know why they would get rid of the only way to do something and replace it with something that has several ways of doing something.

    CS6, but CS5 was the same way but with less tools being affected

    Works identically for me - I just tried it in both Photoshop CS4 and CS6.

     

    I'm on a PC (Windows 7) - what OS are you running?

    Scratch that; I see that it works differently depending on what tool is selected.

     

    I guess that's what you're saying - that it used to work no matter what tool was selected?

    you are probably using a selection tool which doesnt have a color option, any tool that has color seems to have gotten rid of the layer selection shortcut

    You might try turning on Auto-Select for the move tool, then ctrl+alt+shift+left click should work with the paint tools.

    I used to work with photoshop 7 and I decide to buy CS5 for production... disaster because of this fu***ing shortcuts change.

     

    If you want a solution is to use autohotkey but it's not a really good solution.

     

    ADOBE PLEASE, LET US THE CHOICE or implements pen's shortcuts customization

     

     

    little explanation : before the change ctrl alt + right click was for quickly change the active layer and ctrlaltshif+right click for quickly add/remove a layer to selection with ANY tool

    now with some tools E B ... these shortcuts turn to Brush HUD....

     

    but when you want to quickly paint on a layer, select another to paint on it etc, you need to change to a non-brush tool before each step, it's a nightmare !!!!!!!!!!!!

     

    autoselect option and all I tried can't change that, with autohotkey and the right script it's correct but not so much
