Metadata Presets do not appear in LR4

My metadata presets are not appearing in the library module. Preset None and Edit Presets appear. There are various presets in the Users/Roaming/Appdata/Adobe/Lightroom/4/Metadata Templates folder.

Anyone got some ideas please, the metadata presets have disappered from my images as well?

Have you checked the "Store Presets with Catalog" option on the Presets tab of your Lightroom Preferences? If you have, Lightroom no longer looks in Appdata for user presets, instead it looks in the Lightroom Settings set of sub-folders which is created adjacent to your catalog....but these are all rather unhelpfully empty until the user populates them again.

I think you'll find that you won't need to do that.....any metadata that you applied initially via your metadata preset should still be there, even if the preset field is now showing 'none'.

If you add metadata to your files without a preset, but in the end the metadata you've applied exactly matches one of your existing presets, this will not trigger the preset drop-down to select the matching preset. It will continue to say None. Same has happened here.
