Liquid Sizing Divs with Min/Max

I'm trying to create this type of layout and the problem I'm having is the div on the far right "D" keeps wanting to wrap underneath the "C" div. I don't want that. I want "D" to stay on the right side at all times and I'd like for div "C" to auto size in width as described in the image below.

Hope this makes sense. Thanks guys for the help.

Why have you not posted a link to your test site? without your code it is almost impossible to get the idea of what went wrong. However, try this link:

Id like for the greenish and blue divs to have min and max width which would then allow them to scale in width based on the image i posted above.
I've seen a lot of people using negative margins to get this to work? That seems wrong and unreliable.
