.OAM file in Muse - invalid block type (type==3)

Tags: #edge #muse #type #invalid #block #type3 #oam #(type==3)

Every time I try to insert an  Edge .OAM file in muse and try to publish I keep getting an "invalid block type (type==3)" error, over and over... it doesn't matter even if the OAM file is empty, it still displays this problem... could someone please point me if this is a bug or if I'm just doing something wrong?

Regards

Inserting .oam file in muse seriously affect the performance of Muse 2.0 beta 904 in the design view and also when you select preview in browser. Muse suddebly become sluggish. It takes minutes before it loads just a preview!

    Hi,

Please refer to the following kb article on more information about the Adobe Edge integration, http://www.adobekb.com/inserting_edge_content.html

Are you getting the error while following the instruction number 2..??

    Regards,

    Abhishek Maurya

    Hi,

I have the same issue but it's not an OS issue (i think) : I'm working on SnowLeopard and I have the same error message. All the http://www.adobekb.com/inserting_edge_content.html steps are correctly followed.

I cannot use the preview mode and cannot preview in a browser as well.

    Any idea ?

    Cheers,

    Pierre

ragno7, Pierre, Antony, can you all send the .oam file you are having this problem with to muse-support at adobe dot com along with a link to this thread? If the file is larger than 20Mb, you can use a service like Adobe SendNow, SendThisFile or WeTransfer. Thanks.

    Hi Pierre,

Can you please try to export the animation one more time and use only ASCII characters (e.g. replace ô with o) and see if the error persists.

    Thanks,

    Razvan

    Hi Pierre,

Thanks for the prompt follow up!

Is it possible to also send us the Edge project you're publishing the .oam from?

Besides this, it may also be useful to know the following:

    - what operating system are you currently using (version and language)

    - the Edge version used to publish the .oam file

    Thanks!

    Razvan

    Hi Razvan,

please find enclosed the whole project (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/60679963/Edge.zip).

Regarding the OS, I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.8 in french.

Regarding version, i'm currently using Edge version 0.11.0.164.20564. And I'm not sure about the version I used (1 or 2 version before) : sorry for that.

    Thanks,

    Pierre
