Folio with 541 articles!

Hi everyone,

 

I'm having a big problem here and hope that somebody could help me out. I made this book and it has 541 articles in it (horizontal only), the issue size is around 900mb. It's huge I know.

 

 

I uploaded everything into the folio producer, made the app and apple approved it, so far so good. But when I downloaded it in any device (iPad or android) it just doesn't work properly. It happened in the test version but I thought i was just a minor bug and it was going to work fine once I submitted properly to apple. It works fine for the first time, but when I close it and re-open it stops working for good. It happens in all devices that I tested.

 

I have interactive overlay and lot of hyperlinks on every page, I also have around 5 short videos.

 

Is there a way to solve this problem?

Is the problem the number of articles?

 

I tried to upload everything in pdf which shortened the issue size but didn't solve the problem.

 

Has anyone uploaded this many articles before?

    I've never heard of an app getting through the approval process with that kind of bug. I'd check that the devices are all running an up-to-date version of iOS 5 (the iOS 6 beta has caused intermittent problems).

    Thanks for the reply, but we checked in several devices (not only ipad but also android tablets) and they're all having the same problem.

    Sorry, thought I'd give it a shot. Still seems very odd that Apple would let it through with that bug.

    to understand the actual problem it would be great if you can tell us more

    details about it. maybe screenshots?

     

    if it happens in you r dev app it will pretty surely happen in the live app

    as well. if it is in the apo store, can you point us to it?

    I thought my problem was too many articles, but it isn't right?

     

    The whole book is linked with hyperlink buttons most of them in a scrollable content as showed in the screenshots below.

     

    If I upload a few articles my app works fine, but when I upload the whole folio with 541 articles the app shuts down and never re-opens again.
