Moving to a new PC

I have LR 3.6 on a Vista PC and need to move my photos and catalog to a new Win7 PC.  I was going to download the 3.6 version for the new PC, but Adobe only has the new 4.1 version for download.  If I install 4.1 on the Win7 PC, can I successfully transfer the photos and catalog from the Vista PC with 3.6?  Thanks for any help!

    Adobe may no longer be selling Lightroom 3.6, but it is still available for download:

    But to answer your question, yes you can simply install 4.1 on the new PC (though assuming you purchase the upgrade rather than the full package, you'll need you Lightroom 3 serial number as well). When installed, and you've copied catalog and photos to the new PC, start LR4.1 and use the Open Catalog option and point at the LR3 catalog and it will automatically be upgraded (new version is created, old LR3 catalog remains untouched).
